AVEDA Distributor and Beauty Industry Leaders Organize Hurricane Relief Efforts

In response to the wide-spread devastation of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, The Salon and Spa Relief Fund has been re-activated. Neill Corporation worked to help create the non-profit organization following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The Salon and Spa Relief Fund accepts donations from the public, including individuals and businesses in the beauty industry, to help salon and spa owners and their employees affected by hurricanes. Those funds are used to help them rebuild their lives and their businesses. Edwin H. Neill III, President, and Debra Neill-Baker, CEO, of Neill Corporation, will head up the organization with other industry leaders.

There are no estimates yet of how many salon and spa employees have been been impacted by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike; however, major economic centers in Louisiana and Texas have been devastated.
